SAPIE delegation joined technology festival Viva Tech 2024
Viva Technology, or VivaTech, is an annual technology conference, dedicated to innovation and startups, held in Paris, France. The first two days of VivaTech are for startups, investors, executives, students and academics, and it is open to the general public on the third day.
One of many benefits of being SAPIE members is a chance to get free tickets to many interesting events all around the world including Viva Tech. Representatives from Slovak companies including Addsen, Across Private Investments, Cequence, Divino, Owl Agency and TrollWall AI Technologies traveled together with SAPIE staff to the city of lights to get inspired.
Viva Technology is Europe's number one startup and tech event, recognized worldwide as a powerful catalyst for business transformation, startup growth and innovation for the common good. Since 2016, VivaTech has brought together the world's leading business leaders, startups, investors, researchers and thinkers in Paris for a unique experience combining inspiration, networking and a showcase of innovation. This year we had a chance to meet with more than 13500 startups, see more than 400 speakers and get to know more than 2800 exhibitors. Big corporations such as Orange, Meta, Tesla were presented together with pitching startups and government bodies therefore a huge variety of stakeholders were part of the programme. Not to mention big names from the world of technology such as Elon Musk (SpaceX, Tesla, X - Founder, Chairman, CEO), Yann LeCun (Meta - Chief AI Scientist) and Bernard Arnault (LVMH - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer).
In addition to the Viva Tech programme together with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Paris we prepared a visit to Campus Cyber, a leading organization in cybersecurity topics.
We were really impressed by the top level of skill and dedication on the companies in the Campus. A project initiated by President Macron, the Cyber Campus is the totem place for cybersecurity which brings together the main national and international players in the field. It allows companies (large groups, SMEs), state services, training organizations, research players and associations to be hosted on the same site. The Cyber Campus is implementing actions aimed at uniting the cybersecurity community and developing synergies between these different actors. Partnerships between the national campus and territorial cybersecurity campuses (in all regions) is also being developed. To date, more than 160 actors, from a plurality of sectors of activity are committed to this project.
Networking is one of the most important activities any company can get from SAPIE membership. It was also an essential part of this year´s Viva Tech visit. Together with members we spend a both informative and pleasant time. Thanks to the invitation of the Slovak Institute in Paris we had the opportunity to be part of an amazing event in the full Saint-Germain-des Prés church. Tenor Pavol Bršlík (Breslik) and pianist Róbert Pechanec delighted the audience with their talent. The concert was held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Slovakia's entry into the EU.
