Being technology enthusiasts, they support start-up community through pro-bono work, mentoring, co-operation with co-working spaces and legislation drafts. The moments of pride are definitely when the firm’s clients undergo successful exit.
Just recently, the firm has advised Minit, j.s.a. and its founders on the sale to Microsoft, largest ever start-up exit in Slovakia.
After graduating from Law Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava, Katarína worked for a Magic Circle international law firm in Bratislava and London while simultaneously managing her own non-legal business enterprise. She completed her master degree at King’s College London and shortly afterwards set-up her own law firm in 2005. Majerník & Miháliková was founded in 2011 and the firm is currently managed by Ivan Kormaník, Andrej Majerník and Katarína Miháliková.
Majerník & Miháliková is a middle sized boutique law firm specializing in advisory to VC funds, start-ups and founders. The firm also advises on M&A, corporate agenda, contracts, labour law, real estate projects, energy and insurance. Over the years we were partners of Start-up Awards as well as Challenger accelerator.
