Maria Bieliková
Maria Bielikova is co-founder and CEO of the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies, whose mission is to connect industry to excellent science. She is a chair of the Slovak Permanent Committee for Ethics and Regulation of AI, a former member of the High Level Expert Group on AI established by European Commission and of the Board of governors of the European Commission Joint Research Center. Maria was one of the founders of Slovak. AI later transformed into AIslovakIA. Before, she was a full professor at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, lead of the Personalized Web (PeWe) research group and director of the User eXperience and Interaction research center. She is a former dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies (FIIT STU). Maria is active in the AI research community, with a particular interest in human-computer interaction analysis. She published more than 200 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and participated in more than 50 research projects, mostly as principal investigator.
