Andrea Ferancová Bartoňová
Andrea Ferancová Bartoňová is a Founding Partner of ESPIRA Investments and Chair of its Board. ESPIRA Investments is a private equity fund chartered with supporting businesses with a positive environmental and social governance strategy whilst embracing a gender-diverse management structure. Andrea is a strong advocate of Impact Investing and the benefits that it delivers to the broader community.
Prior to ESPIRA, Andrea was a co-owner of Wood & Company, a leading Central European investment bank and brokerage firm. After joining the firm in 1995, Andrea participated in a management buy-out in 2000 and became a co-owner and the Head of Equities at the age of just 26. Under Andreas's leadership, Wood & Company's revenue grew by 800%, and its market share in the Czech equity market increased from 5% to 30% - a market-leading position that the firm still enjoys to his day. Andrea was the key driver in Wood & Company's expansion into 11 CEE markets and in establishing its London office.
Andrea was numerous times ranked among TOP 25 business women in the Czech Republic and acts as a jury member for an award Via Bona Slovakia.
Andrea graduated from Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program and holds a Master's Degree from the University of Economics, Prague.
