Igor Kočiš
CEO & FOUNDERIgor is co-founder and CEO of GA Drilling and has 20 years of engineering, business development and managerial leadership experience.
He is leading a company that is developing and commercialising a groundbreaking technology PLASMABIT, bringing drilling and milling tool for oil & gas, geothermal and mining segments. Thanks to Igor's audacious ideas, GA Drilling has attracted well-known O&G operators and oilfield service companies from different parts of the world to engage in PLASMABIT Joint Industry Project.
Such a strategic alliance has been accelerating the technology development of its disruptive drilling system. Igor has already managed two investment rounds and is successfully expanding the brand awareness from Slovakia to areas of Western Europe, Middle East and USA.
Couple years back, Igor spent seven years as a CEO of ARDACO, a hi-tech ICT company with 50 employees. In 2005, he managed the venture capital investor entry into ARDACO with a volume of € 3 million. Before 2001, Igor spent eight years as a founder of the security technology company TAUREUS, building the company from scratch up to 25 employees in 2001. He has a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Slovak Technical University.
He actively represents Slovakia in various European Technology Platforms. In 2014 he was selected as one of the Challengers on the prestigious New Europe 100.
