SAPIE has been nominated to the Advisory Team for the Government Council
We consider this a binding and very important step towards fulfilling our vision of being an unifying voice and platform for economic growth by supporting innovation and digitalisation, especially through small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and by enabling discussion and cooperation between private and public actors.
Digital transformation is one of the priorities of the Recovery and Resilience Plan. From the total volume of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the entire component number 17 represents 615 mil. EUR focused on digitization.
183 million of this package is dedicated to the development of the digital economy and innovations, which represents 21% of the digital transformation funding.
Within this component, the goal of "Increasing the level of digitization of industry, especially SMEs" is also explicitly defined. Measures to support the digital economy include in particular, the reform of the management of the digital transformation of the economy, Slovakia's involvement in cross-border European projects (supercomputer, quantum communication infrastructure and blockchain) and grants for the development and application of top digital technologies.
We believe that through our participation we will be able to contribute to a fruitful discussion and subsequent successful implementation of the Recovery Plan, especially in the field of digitization and be a key partner not only for our members but also others, startups and SMEs in increasing their digitization and supporting the ecosystem of innovative and digital economy and overall economic growth in Slovakia.
