Innovation & Digitization conference

On September 22, 2021 SAPIE was a content partner for the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) thematic Conference focusing on two main topics: Innovation and Digitization.

The mission of this conference has been to network the key actors within the digital transformation in the Slovak Republic and within its partner countries of the EUSDR. The partners have come from: a) the public sector: Ministry of investment, Regional Development and Informatisation (MIRDI), European Commission and the Municipality of Bratislava, the City of Helsinki ; b) private sector: Slovak Alliance for Innovative Economy, Vacuum Group, Dell Technologies, SCR Design, Fintech Hub Slovakia; and c) educational institutions: Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Plovdiv University (Sofia Lab).

The key aspects covered have been the SME development within the post-Covid19 economic recovery, which has been commanding businesses to go digital with regard to the Green New Deal goals at the European level.

Innovations and digitization affect all aspects of life in the Danube Region, therefore they should be mirrored in all priority areas. This topic is highly cross-sectoral and creates a significant space for cooperation within the EUSDR.

The countries represented in the event have been: Slovakia, Finland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia.
